Thread: double tap = double crap?
lol funny title .
regarding fanshot , it is easily the best special us pistoleers get . it has a decent damage multiplier , delay mod is good and best of all it is a cone attack . apart from fanshot the only other worthwhile specials are healthshot 2 and pistol melle defence 1 . stopping shot is only worthwhile for a master pistoleer if they have speed skill tapes , bh pistol mods or a pistol faster then 1.2 speed .

actually, i'd suggest that you use healthshot1. use that DPS website, you'll probably find that healthshot1 will give you better results for awhile.

Most damaging though. Depending on your situation it can be the best pistol shot, but for me, I prefer a pool specific attack or an AOE. Last Ditch is great for single targets, but you still have random pool dmg.

Okay, so Riflemen probably shouldn't be able to shoot as fast as a Pistoleer. At least, not at the high end. At the low end, sure. So instead of Double-tap being a crappy special, I think it should be a passive ability like Damage Mitigation. It's end result? It lowers your speed cap. Say everyone gets stuck with a speed cap of 2.0 to start. Carbineers can get that down to, oh, 1.5 with a similar ability, and we can lower it to 1.0 once we get Double-Tap. Anyone agree?
