The way weapon power ups work does not make any sence to me of any kind at all.
Okay, I'll compare pistols and rifles.
Powerup lasts 100 shots.
Rifle: Basicly all rifle stats are higher that pistols. HAM even has higher numbers (you might be thinking, yeah but that is a bad thing). What this goes towards is the percentage on the powerup though. A damage poweup of 32%max will increase an average t-21 over 100 points in damage. Also HAM effects will lower the HAM by greater numbers, point blank range mods with raise the it by greater numbers, speed mods will lower the speed a greater amount.
At that the power up gives 100 shots. A rifle does more damage per shot and fires slower. This adds up to more damage total per power up.
Pistol: Fast, lower damage per shot, lower HAM. When you add a powerup to a pistol you will be increasing its stats by a lower amount, normaly somwhere around 50-70 instead of the rifles 100+. Also if you are affecting your HAM it will decrease the HAM by less because your HAM cost is less to start out, same with speed. Basicly you are getting less effect in solid numbers.
The power up give 100 shots yet again. 100 shots at a lesser damage, greater speed. Which means you blow though power ups several times as fast and do less damage per power up.
This overall does not much sence at all. Powerups should expire based on damage done or another system should be works out for them completely. I never even bother using power ups with pistol because I have to add new ones 2+ times per lair in some cases, and that is on medium missions on dant. With a rifle you can do multiple lairs on just one power up.
