Where is the Geo Cert in the pistol Line?

The cert for geo pistols is in pistol grips 2, it says pistol techniques 2 on the pistol, and I don't think ever realizes you're certified for it.

weird, as of yet i dont have pistol grips 2 but i dont get reduced damage..... I do however have techniques 2.

that's because the cert IS in techniques 2. Doesn't anyone read the skill trees anymore?

Must be a bug because it tells me I am not certified when I examine the pistol. But when I equip it it does not tell me dmg will be reduced. I just bought 3 the other day and it was the first time I have ever had, or seen, one. They are awesome. Does lots of dmg. I got one sliced to 278 max dmg so with pup it is nice

I'm staring at the skill tree right now, and i can't see it, but I have been told once or twice however that i would never see something unless it jumped out and bit me.

So just so i'm clear, i have pistol Techniques 2. Can i use the Geonesian Sonic Blaster without penalty? Even though it may say i'm not certified when i equip it?

yes, it is techniques. it is not shown in the box description...i think they were being sarcastic about seeing it in there.
