Thread: Tri-Master Question

Is it really all that great, I mean does Master Pistoleer/Master Smuggler/TKM let you hunt hight end creatures? Cause i've looked at some creature stats and most of the high end creatures have high resistences to the damage types you could do as a tri-master.

Your damage output is good because of TKM and LastDitch, although without skill attachments you're firing your guns very slowly (especially lastditch).
You have very good defenses, although not nearly the best.
You have melee AND ranged mitigation, both at the 3rd tier, which is a HUGE bonus to this template.
Before they gave NPCs back their specials I could get buffed and put on my armor (entertainer buffs also) and head to Dathomir to take out NightSisters. The only ones that ever gave me trouble were the Elders, but I could still solo them. I haven't been back since they gave specials back to NPCs.
However, most likely the coolest thing you get for PvE in this template, is FeignDeath. With this, you can get in way over your head and never die.
You have to know how to handle each of your primary weapons professions very well in order to be effective as a triple master. Know how to handle yourself as TK with applying state effects and intimidate (warcry also, although it's been "fixed"). PanicShot is sort've a ranged Warcry you get in Smuggler Dirty Fighting.
Also know what the strengths and weaknesses are with your guns. Know which gun you'll use against a Turret, or a Krayt, or NightSister. You'll have to /examine this, but as a Master Pistoleer, you get some variety of damage types.
The DE-10 is a larger, slower, more powerful version of the Republic Blaster. If you have pistol speed attachments your DPS with it will most likely be larger than your Republic Blaster DPS, and it's great for kiting things which aren't hugely resistant to Energy damage. Remember though, the more damage they take, the less resistant they become all around.
