Thread: +16 pistol speed attachments should I drop desperado?

I'm currently a master pistoleer / desperado / rogue with novice commando. Despite having some very nice equipment, I've given up on SWG PvP, but still enjoy PvE with pistoleer.

I've got +16 in pistol speed attachments, which would bring my pistol speed up to +90 if I dropped desperado and master marksman. My slowest pistol is 2.9s, which would mean that at the very worst all of my specials are capped except stopping shot and last ditch, which would be firing at 1.2s.

As a PvE player, I don't see much benefit from the extra accuracy in the bounty pistols line. If I don't realistically need the speed, then I'm left with spending a ton of skill points for eye shot, torso shot, and the scatter cert. Of those three things, the only one I think I'd really miss is the scatter cert.

We're talking about 74 skill points here, since I'd like to keep novice scout w/ explore 4. With those points I could master another combat profession, and if I chose something like TKA or commando, I could pick up novice medic as well. Maybe grab a bunch of ranger instead to help harvest more for my armorsmith main.

If you were in this position, and looking for something to mix up your PvE action a bit, what would you do?

If you don't PVP then I would drop desperado. In PVE you can take down most things with just Master Pistol, with the speed tapes and rogue you should be fine. You'd probably be better off spending all those skill points on some melee prof. If you want to go commando you'll have to keep master marksman.

Oh yeah, silly me. I think I'll give TKA a shot. I see so many of them out there, it must be a fun profession. It's actually on of the few combat professions I've never tried.

After you do TKA you will wonder why you even have master pistoleer... lol. Pistols are fun though.

I've already been a master swordsman and a speed-capped master rifleman. I doubt there's very much in PvE a TKA could do to impress me.

Pistols are just fun though.
