Thread: What pistol skill if any is good for multi targets?

Looking at the damage tables listed on this forum the other day, point blank area 2 has the same damage modifier as fan shot. So it theoretically should do the same damage, and is usable at point blank range.

Has anyone tried Multi Target Pistol Shot lately? I havn't really heard anyone talk about it as if it were a broken shot. I have been experimenting and I *think* it hits the last target and the current target you are shooting. Anyway I have been using it as just one of my other shots while in combat and I do on average about 1000 damage EACH. Compared to Bodyshot3 with an averge of 600 or so, I thought this seemed to be an okay shot to use for multiple targets as well as the pointblank one and fanshot.

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly what it's supposed to do, but recently I've been able to go up to a bunch of quenkers, spam /MultiTargetPistolShot, and watch as it hits each quenker (there were about 6 of them) in turn for ~1000+ to a random pool. It seems a little stronger than fanshot, but not as strong as pointblankarea2, which makes no sense as it is a Master special.

Some of the testing I have done you have to actually have targeted or hit or actually be in contact to target multiple mobs with MTPS...but it has worked for me in the past. My toon actually twists and will hit targets that are not even close to each other (like you need with fanshot) I think we need more testing on it...

In my experience, MTPS generally works if there are zero obstructions. If there's any target you can't see/hit the whole darn chain fails and it just hits the current target instead.

The Multi target shot hits one target in multiple pools. In your combat log you should see 2 or more hits listed each time you use multi but all on the same target.
Fan shot hits multiple tagets in the cone shape in front of you. You have to be able to see the enemy to hit them.
