I am a Trandoshan almost at novice Pistoleer. What are good stat pools for a pistoleer, some specific examples of what works best (mainly while buffed, but still effective if unbuffed) If this has been raised too many times, forgive me, but I couldn't find hard numbers in the stickies.

I always max out the secondaries on all stats first and foremost. Then for a buffed pistoleer, the mind pool is the trouble spot.

I stay around 800-800-800 for all my primaries.
Then I split my remaining points between Action and Mind secondaries and drop my Health down to base level (which, fora human, is 400).
As a Pistoleer, your weapons generally have low Health and Mind special costs, but Action is often double the cost of H & M, so you want to boost it up to negate those penalties. This is all assuming that you fight unbuffed, so you'll need Stims. Healing yourself will cost more Mind, so you want to have your Mind regeneration and burn boosted to handle that drain as well. The only damage Health will really take is from enemy attacks, so you can just wear armor over your chest to handle those issues and stim when necessary.
However, if you fight with buffs and armor all the time, most will say, drop your Health and Action primaries and secondaries to base level, and put everything into Mind. With H & A buffs, you'll be fine.
But I like fighting unbuffed lots of times, so I don't subscribe to that theory.

In the current system and dependent on your toon, I would max out all mind stats first and foremost then divide out amoung health and action.
That is if you are buffed. Unbuffed I'd keep it about even on the mains and max out the subs as much as you can to cut down on specials cost.
