I am re-rolling a Toon of mine and am thinking of this Template:

3040 Bounty Hunter

0040 Pistoleer

Master Commando


This will give me 115 Pistol Acc, and 85 Speed as well as access to all pistols in the game, bar the DE-10

just go with master pistoleer. you don't need a stinking launcher pistol...it will make you laggy

I would ge tnovice commando if you wanted ot bust turrets and all maybe smuggler psitols since you have master marskaman and unamred 4 any how (last ditch with a nice launcher pisotl is evil)

I am currently master marksman, master pistoleer, with smugg pistol tree, BH pistol tree and novice comando. All pistols are at my becon call. I have a laucher doing 415 damage AND I'M LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! The heavy weapons from Comando and BH are a nice bonus and you get the terrain negotiation from the required exploration 4.


The only draw back so far is the 244 skill points required to do this. That only leaves 6 points for force sensitive boxes. But I have ranged defence 2, and melee defence 4 in force reflex.

The only problem I see with the template is this:


When you master 2 professions that are very different in play style and weaponry (aside from the launcher pistol, but if you wanted that all you need is novice commando) you will find yourself playing one over the other. Here's how I see it playing out for you if you go this route.


For PvE you will use most if not all commando for the insane damage output you can get. A pistoleers lack of damage and working specials(compared to commando)will keep you away from it in PvE.

For PvP (if you do that) you willgopistols for the speed difference over commando and the range differences. However, the way the current game mechanics work, with templates as they arehitting people will be a challenge and actually killing someone even more difficult.


I'm not saying any of this to shy you away from either commando or pistoleer. The 2 professions just dont compliment themselves as well as I would like.


Both professions are fine alone but when combined they sorta cancel each other out, meaning your skill points could be put to better use elsewhere.


In closing, its your toon and you are rerolling so if master commando/master pistoleer is what you WANT to play don't let me stop you.



EDIT: On second thought I just read what I wrote and I'm retarded. Play it. I think it would be a fun template to play

I would change Master Commando to Novice and go for Smuggler 0040 for the special shots like Low blow Panic shot and Last Ditch, but thats just because I am a smuggler
