Dodge tapes (Pistoleer/Fencer)are nonfunctional now, just like Counterattack (Carb/Pikeman)and Block (Swords/Rifleman). Combat Acuity was also removed, though I've never seen an SEA for it. You'll notice that newly crafted Featherweight FWG5s only have an accuracy mod now.
From what I can tell, Pikatta Pie now modifies your [prof. name] defense, or lightsaber block. These mods are small and typically found in the 2nd branch of each tree I think. These are the only mods that actually increase your chance to avoid an attack now. Ranged/Melee Defense decrease the damage you take when hit, but don't make you take any fewer hits.

I just now tested Pikatta Pie on myself to see what it did. It did not change either my Melee Defense nor my Ranged Defense mods the way other foods do. I did notice that I had a +2 Dodge mod in my control-S window after I ate the pie, but am not sure if I'm getting that from something that I am wearing (I'm not sure if I had the mod before I ate the pie).
Pikatta Pie seems pretty useless to me now, unless it's doing something significantthat I can't see.

I just checked again after the pie wore off, and my Dodge mod is still there. So I guess Pikatta Pie does nothing whatsoever.

Just so you guys know, Pikatta Pie and Air Cake have NEVER been related to the dodge mod that Pistoleers and Fencers had. It was entirely seperate, and to benefit from Air Cake or Pikatta it did not matter whether you had any dodge in your template. This has been known conclusively for some time in Chef circles.
As for what these foods do NOW...as well as other foods like Vayerbok (+ to block).....the community is still testing them. No word from the devs yet. A lot of Jedi are claiming that Vayerbok helps saberblock, but that is still unconfirmed. If Pikatta and Air cake function the way that they used to, then they modify the initial to-hit modifier and accuracy of your opponent. Once again, this has not yet been thoroughly tested post-CU.
But yes, the theory that Pikatta and AirCake affect your Dodge mod in your skills screen is a myth. They are/were unrelated pre-CU.

Thanks for that info, Dragonfly. You certainly seem far more knowlegeable about it than I am.
