I am Master Marksman/Master Pistoleer/Master Smuggler. I find that my best role in the group is as a support ellement. With that combo I have 10+ states but only 2 or 3 damage attacks. I usually go for Lowblow, Overwhelming Shot, Intimidate shot, panic, warning, and so on. This will allow the tanks and the damage dealers more time to do their things. Plus because states are low damage I don't get attacked very often. The tanks swoop in and aggro, I start messing with the bad guys' movment and attacks, then the damage dealers send them to hell.

We are not as strong as we used to be but we are still valuable to a hunting party. We help the bad guys to be taken out a little quicker. We don't get the glory that the tanks and the damage dealers get, or the praise that the healers get, but we are the unsung heros of the group. Plus I'm tapping bad guys for around 1300 damage a shot using improved body shot and that's not too bad.

A word on Last Ditch...very very powerful. The closer to death you are the harder it hits. I've hit NPCs for over 4k damage and I've put CL80 Jedi Knights on their backs in one shot. But I don't recommend using it unless you've got a very high accuracy rating. If you miss....you won't get a second chance.

I'm a Master Squad Leader/Master Pistoleer and I'm doing good. Though healing me is the thing that usually happens, my weapon of choice being the Intimidator. I'm CL80 and last night I took on about 6 or 7 level 80 imperials and only got incapped twice. Now mind you this is with a cl 18 r2 droid. Seriously, I'm not doing to shabby at all.

I've got 4/4/0/3 CM and 1/0/0/4 Doc bolted on to Master Pistoleer and some broken FS skills taking up valuable skillpoints.

This works out quite nicely as you can heal damage, wounds, states, apply DoT's, debuffs and buffs.

Pretty much any healing action will get you all the aggro so you have to be on your toes, but with electrolyte drain you and the ranged members of your group can kite any melee mob to death easily.
