It does my heart good to hear that one of us can fry that albatross. Technically though, my worship is reserved for whoever can solo one of them as a Pistoleer. I don't think it can be done. In fact, I'm quite sure of it. That bird is pure evil. It's a dragon, and nothing short of the Holy Handgrenade can take it out.
You can kill any melee mob with Electrolyte Drain from CM and Master Pistoleer.
I did try one of these solo a while ago and got it to half health when another one spawned behind me and ate me.

You had me wondering if I should respec to CM xxx1 after reading that comment. But I just looked at the description for that special and couldn't imagine that it would have made any difference against that bird. If anybody does manage to successfully solo one as a pistoleer (along with whatever other profession they have), I would very much like to hear the story! Consider that a challenge.
Get someone to put electrolyte drain on it then have a ranged turkey shoot.

Badger, I would love to see that screen shot (including all the combat spam so I could learn how you did it).
It would give me some inspiration to try him again. I hate that bird. He's just mean to me.
