You take master scout, master marksman, master pistoleer and the bounty hunter pistol tree for speed and accuracy stats not to mention specials. You could throw in 3 levels of lightning or carbine.

Which is more effective though taking the master pistoleer or master carbineer?

You will not have enuff pts after mastering bounty hunter for pistoleer. I think the game allows for 3 master certifications and a little bit into another.

I'm saying not to master BH but to master pistoleer or carbineer and just take the pistol/carbine tree in bh.

I basically did that. I didn't have BH Pistol 4, Master Pistoleer, Stances and Grips 4 and Special Abilities 4. I had a couple weeks to get them, but I PVPed instead. My take on it.. Melee Defense 1, Eye Shot, and Body Shot 3 are basically the skills you will be using if you had the setup I did as well as the Scatter Pistol (if the materials become available). Eye Shot, with my scatter pistol (76 - 109, 2.9) did 450 - 500 mind damage to a target. If you can get close to someone you can use melee defense 1 and keep spamming it, or use eye shot twice on them.

The scatter pistol, like all pistols, worked very well at 64m. In fact, it was better because it had no max range penalty. So you could snipe all you want with Eye Shot at 64m. Eye Shot was also incredible fast.. I don't know why but you recovered from your stance extremely quickly. I'm saying that it was a little slower than normal fire, just about. Body Shot 3 is your PVE move or the move you use when you see that someone has low life (from being hit by someone else) or if they're a medic and have lower life than they do mind.

Body Shot 3 and Melee Defense 1 are excellent PVE moves that you may want to use to advance. Maybe it was just me, but I found that disarming shot did nothing. I didn't have the oppertunity to test Disarming Shot 2 or Torso Shot so I can't say anything about them. Sorry.

My setupwas very good in PVP. I could take out a target in a matter of seconds with Eye shot. I was even taking out snipers with no problem. TKAs didn't stand a chance against Melee Defense 1 if you landed it on them. Nothing really stood a chance once you got Melee Defense on them. Only melee defese 1 has the knockdown, btw. Pistol Smack (Melee Defense 2) just did more damage. MD1 did around 450 damage. MD2 did around 600 and both were random in pool damage.

Well.. I don't know what else to say. Oh yeah, Bleeding shot. If you're wondering about this move. It's just like Mind Shot except that it does around 200+ direct damage to them (random pool). Then after that it does around 90 - 100 mind bleed. It's not exactly good.. since Eye Shot can incap in two shots that roughly take 4 seconds to acchomplish. I'd just use it after you got beat up and you're planning on retreating.

There were a lot of pistoleer's in the Beta, but I don't know about BH Pistol/Pistoleers. But I could seriously do a lot of damage. You would crush a master pistoleer 1 on 1. Most likely crush 2 of them since Eye shot is THAT MUCH quicker than body shot and you (most likely) target the lowest pool. I could usually take down multiple peope with Eye Shot and melee defense 1. Just try to get in close and incap anyone you can with eye shot thenwhen you'recloseuse melee defense 1 against however many people you can to bring them down.

I also had BH Carbine 1 for underhand shot. I used a CDEF pistol at first, but later I used a DH17. You will miss a lot with the carbine, I can tell you that. I would use underhand shot and then switch to eye shot... but I later just dropped the whole carbine thing because I felt weighed down. Eye shot was quick enough to dispose of anything before they even knew what happened to them. It wasn't my style either. I liked to hang around near buildings and such and draw people into my turf. But I heard that the Lightning Rifle was trash, so.. you might want to give things some thought about that.
