i see many ppl saying that a good spec would be to do something like MSmug/MPist/MTerasKai

for the reason that the teras kai would give very good melee resistances. My comment is that i thought you could only recieve the teras kai melee bonus' while being unarmed and actually using the teras kai fighting style. I.E. you cant recieve the great +15 bonus to melee type bonus for teras kai skill while firing your comando flamethrower.

Although hey, if someone can assure me that you very well indeed recieve the teras kai bonuses while not being armed, then so be it. Can anyone give me that assurence?

Btw correction, i memnt to say while being armed instead of not being armed on the last paragraph.

Defensive bonuses like dodge+, resistance to posture change, melee/ranged def, etc etc stack (at least, thats what Ive seen some beta testers say). The only think that doesnt stack is toughness bonuses (unarmed toughness, for example, only works when unarmed). Personally, I'll be going Pitoleer/Fencer since they both specialize in body hits and fencer has some very nice defensive bonuses.
