Pistoleer Archive

I haven't seen too many people bringing this template up, maybe one ore two, but if you were going to specialize in pistoling I think this would probably be an interesting template to follow. Comments welcome:

Master Marksman

Master Scout

Master Pistoleer

Bounty Hunting Pistol 1, 2, 3, 4

With this template, you get a total of:

160 Pistol Accuracy and 134 Pistol Speed. (not counting the general accuracies achieved from Ranged Support)

Compare that to a rifleman who masters marksman:

He gets 112Rifle Accuracy and 95 Speed (again not counting the general accuracies from Ranged Support)

To me, the difference in these numbers seem significant. I am not sure if there is diminishing returns after a certain point, but it seems to me that a pure pistoleer would be a very legit choice for a character, however you don't really have much else to do as you sacrifice broadness for specialization. In the end, the bonuses granted from the bounty hunting skill tree seem to be very tempting, as you get 50 accuracy and 50 speed. Carbineers also make out from the BH tree, and thier carbineer tree provides even more accuracy and speed then the pistoleer tree does. Its also interesting to note that if you don't take up the BH tree you would be behind both rifleman and carbineers in the speed and accuracy department (at least on paper), assuming each maxing the marksman tree and respective specialized range tree.

Anyhow, in conclusion it seems just too tempting to not go up BH pistol if you plan on being pistoleer, as the advantages are significant if you go by the numbers.

I hope someone comments on this, this seem like the most solid list I have seen yet. And I am totally confused on how to progress. I want to be a pistoleer, but I don't know if I can make enough money to survive at it. Can pistoleers make enough cash to own a house and maintain the best equipment?

I myself is going Master Droid Engineer and Master Pistoleer with Lvl 4 surveying, this way I can hunt, and make cash, sure I may not win in PVP but I will have droids and money and stuff o.o;;
