I also have a Scout Blaster, but im looking into obtainng a Power5 Pistol. I've heard they are very good. Im sure as we all lvl more on the game and more Weponsmiths beomce better we will see some very nice pistols. Dont be a stranger! /tell Vonoska!

At this point, on Flurry, at least, Scout Blasters are about the best things going. The gunsmiths have gotten competent enough to produce some very fine weapons. The higher level weapons that are coming out are still crap, at this point. I picked up an FWG5 yesterday, just for kicks, even though the HAM was almost double my Scout, and the damage max delta was only a few points.

The short of it was, after a brief test drive (about 5 dark blue to white con mobs), the FWG5 went up on the bazaar. My scout blaster was on par damage-wise, and the HAM the FWG5 ate (specificaly the A in the HAM ) was brutal.

So, at this point, I'd have to stick with the Scout blasters. Higher end, good quality guns will hopefully be along soon. Until then, I'd advise looking for the high quality guns on the lower end.

Viking, I took your advice and got an even better scout from a weaponsmith on Tatooine named Vox. Works like a charm. I think I'll use it until I get Expert Pistol.

And Vonoska, I won't be a stranger. I'm working towards being a smuggler, with an Imperial connection. If you want to hook up on some Imp. destroy missions, that would be great!

Okay, I need some advice here. I just got the Expert Pistol skill, which gives you a few more certifications. I am currently using a nice little Scout Pistol that I like. However, do any of you advise moving up to one of the new pistols, and if so, which ones to you prefer and why?

I like the scout blaster, not only for the incredible combat stats, but for how it looks. It's small, sleek and kind of feminine. I'm sure lots of you guys don't like hearing that though.

Scout Blaster = Best PvE Pistol

FWG5 = Best PvP Pistol

Then if you can get your hands on a dx2, you might be able to argue about its abilities...but get one first...

Power5 I use is non-sliced, 24-125, spd3.5, wound 11.43. Sucker is nice, made by Origins on Rori.

Now the real pistol I want is the DX2, atm I found no one that either wants to make them, or can make them. Because of the materials required to do so I hear tell may be a long time yet.
