Thread: Why is cmobat xp so much slower than any other lines?
I have seen master of many other professions such as CH, Architects, Doctors, various smiths, musicians etc. However none in combat fields that require combat xp.
I am working on pistoleer and CH. I will get master CH way before master pistoleer by a mile. Combat xp is excruciatingly painful. 1rst box is 66000 combat xp.. ouch and the cumulative total i cant recal but i think its near half million for this line.
I can feel the grind already. This is not a cry to nerf anyone but just wondering if they went wrong in balancing the time to get combat xp vs someone healing in a med center, crafting away all day or whatever.
I am already almost at 1rst box of one of the pistoleer req for pistol skill but just finished of my 4rth box of combat xp in marsmen line which shows you how badly the combat xp is falling behind.
Combat xp is given at 10% of your weapon xp on the kill, should this be raised?
Well aside from CH - which as we all know is somewhat broken - all the other professions cant kill anything to, quite literally, save their life.
To master combat means you will be able to do almost any quest in the game, kill almost any baddie, and get almost any of the elite loot available from any mob.
I must admit thats much better then being able to do what i plan on (Droid Engineer/Master Artisan/Unknown as of yet) Sure i can make useless droide that have a hope to one day be cool, and i can make some base armor, but thats no big deal.
All smiths (armor, weapon, clothing, housing, etc) Can build grand things, but getting the resources and cash can be hard - and the payoff is usually monetary - and they will never be able to build the most elite things in the game.
All Destroyer Types (Pistoleer, Pikemen, marksmen, etc) will be able to quest their bum's off to get whatever they want by killing, and can get the best loot in the game. Skill enhancing things are found 99% of the time by killing creatures for them, the best weapons will be able to be found on corpses of elite spec force units of Factional troopers, and im sure the best and coolest looking armor will be only findable offa them as well, or thru factional perks, which i must say is easier if you can kill then just deliver things around all day.
The offset is the payoff - sure the road is longer but the end should be grander. And whos more needed in the world to guard us lowly crafters then Killers?
Just my .2
