Thread: so what is everyone expecting to see as part of our Combat docs?

I'm actaullyvery interested to see what comes out of our combat docs - the CB has been the holy grail since last year so I'm fascinated by the idea we might actually get fixed! Much like a psychic hotline, these musing are for entertainment purposes only 
Changes Isuspect we maysee
Overhaul of the speed system means we will finally be the fastest firing ranged prof (wooooohoooooooooo! took long enough)
PMD 2 will be an area effect version of PMD 1 OR have an added stun effect
HS1, HS2, BS1, BS2 being evened out so that the Bodyshots do more damage and the health shots less
Double tap becoming a special that hits two HAM pools at random
Stopping Shot becoming a high damage health targetted shot
Multi Target pistol shot becoming a littlemore powerful version of fan shot
Disarming shot probably becoming a posture down attack
Big issues...
Currently our defences don't actually work very well because people can spam specials - if specials will be used less then our defences are gonna be a lot more useful - here's hoping...
Buffs being taken way down in value will help us a lot too - I'll be interested to see how this works out, especially since almost everyone now fights heavily buffed
Armour getting nerfed (FINALLY!) with lower general armour values our AP0 and AP1 become less of a problem than they were - especially if we're firing comparitively faster than other ranged classes
Off the wall, but might be in
It's possible tha we may see the pre-reqs change in other classes - for instance a pre-req which was previously Pistol might change to any one of pistol/carbine/rifle. This may actually make a big difference to a lot of classes - BH carbine specialists, smugglers with rifles.
What are you charming people expecting?

umm.. it's starwars.. they are blasters/etc, I'm sure if there are automatic ballistic weapons today, they should have automatic blaster/laser weapons in whatever timeline you have flying cars...
Also, since pistols do the least damage of any of the ranged professions, it doesn't really stand to reason that they should also be slower than any other one of them. You give me a 700 dmg pistol, and sure, alright.. maybe I'll be ok with firing slower.. but we get 200dmg (average with a 30% slice, no powerups).
oh.. and no armor piercing, and hmm.. oh yea, almost everything big is immune to the damage types we can put out with said 200 dmg guns.
(go ahead and take on a kimmo with an fwg5 .. even if it's a baby.. go on.. what are you waiting for?...)
Sure, if we get a DE-10 our damage goes up quite nicely (3 mil+ for the components) or a good geo (500k+).. but when you're poor.. you're screwed. (and getting 500k just to spend on a gun, well.. that takes a while when you have to constantly buy new armor, buffs, foods, etc)..
I wish pistoleer had a gun like the laser rifle (600-ish max dmg) that you could pick up for like 20k-40k for a decent one. even if stuff is fairly resistant to it, it still packs a hell of a wallop for the requirements it calls for. (and before I get flamed, I'm not asking for a laser pistol that does 600 dmg - I'm asking for a laser pistol that does 200-250 damage pre-slice) heh.. oh.. wait wasn't that the fwg5 pre-nerf? hehe

non krayt DE-10's consistenetly hit 261 max unsliced using white barrels with valcyn's resources. other servers are very close to that also. but then thers that cost effective issue...
