I'll still be keeping my 4000 for the defense, just wondering if im still reaping the benefits of fencers dodge.
actually, as a smuggler... If the dodge isnt helping I should probably go 0004 TKA.

I may be wrong on this, but I believe some tests were conducted that show you only take advantage of the class specific mods (i.e. Dodge, Block, etc.) if you are wielding the weapon of that profession. Now even though Dodge is the same for Fencer/Pistoleer, I believe they still do not stack because they are from different professions. I'll try and find the link to the thread I read about this. (...and yes of course you will reach the cap, +125, before you ever get all of the Dodge Fencer offers anyway.)

fencer dodge and pistol dodge stack.. it has been tested and proved time and time again.. they are both 1 handed weapons.. fencer doesnt stack with rifles becuase a rifle is 2 handed.. but yes it stacks with pistols..

why bother to waste skillpoints when all you need is some Pie or Cake

Because according the dev responses in on the Chef forums, pie and cake doesn't work of your dodge but of your ranged/melee def. Which means the dodge comes into play *after* the effects of pie/cake is calculation.
/plugPersonalTemplate And with 4000 Fencer + Master pistoleer, you've ranged and meele def in the 90's and a dodge 5 points from being capped. Works for me

rifles have block, so do pikeman- these stack with each other
swordsmen and carbineers have counterattack, again stack with each other
fencers and pistoleers have dodge, duh
when wielding the appropriate weapon, your defenses will go into effect- the only exceptions are the heavy acid rifle not stacking with rifles'/pikemen's and the launcher pistol not stacking with pistols'/fencer's (unless they changed it recently), but the scatter does allow dodge

currently, capped at 125 overall. Soon will be limited (I believe) based on what weapon you are currently carrying.
