Thread: pistoleer knockdown help plz
i was wonderind how we can get things to stay down with meleedef1 (pistolewhip from stances 1)
i was also wondering if we have a ranged knock down, or if smuggler has a ranged pistol knockdown.
thx,
tangoe
hmm...
As far as i know the mob will usually stand a second or two after you used PMD1.Tho i've noticed that the modifier will remain "high" as if the mob was lying down and it wont attack untill the KD wears of.
(havent used PMD1 in a while so i dont know the "feel" of it right now.)
No. As pistoleer we dont have a ranged knockdown.
With Smuggler Dirty Fighting line you get Low Blow at the third or forth stage which is a ranged KD.

When you see NPCs knocked down forever, usually what you are seeing is a Knockdown or Posture Down plus the Dizzy state. Now, Pistoleer has the Knockdown, and the Ranged Support line in Marksman has a Posture Down, but there is no Dizzy in Marksman or Pistoleer. The most accessible Dizzy is the one in the Novice Brawler box, but its effectiveness drops off against higher levels NPCs; there are others further up and in the other Elite professions.
The other neat trick is Knockdown + Delay, which can keep things on the ground as well. Again, Pistoleer does not have a Delay -- but there is a ranged Delay sort of accessible to us -- Panic Shot from the Smuggler tree. But if you have that line anyway, you wouldn't bother with Pistol Whip, but would use Low Blow (which is a ranged Knockdown) instead. There is also another accessible Delay, Warcry1 in the Novice Brawler box; I do not have much experience with that skill.
