Hi all,

I've read quite a bit and I am still trying to mull it over, maybe some of you can help. I'm trying to decide on DF Smuggler line or Stances Pistoleer line. As a BH with 0-4-4-4, while they continue to fix investigations, I figured I'd get better at something else. I am viciously offensive, butreally baddefensively. I'm wondering, should I just get even more offensive with DF lineor add to defense with Stances line? Particulairly, for PvP. The only time I have a problem in PvP is when a TKM knocks me down first. With stances 4 will this help at all against TK and melee's who knockdown?

Also, with this new upcoming patch regarding mitigation, will this affect either of these lines and their effects as a dabbler?

Yes

You can do BH 0040, Smuggler 0040, Pistoleer 0203 as a combo which leaves zero skillpoints.

I have stances 3 and dirt fighting 3. On stances 3 you get melee defense 2 and it is fairly useless. I don't get knocked down as much, but still, it is not very good and does not knock you opponent down like melee 1 does. DF certainly comes in handy. Low blow works fairly well and feign death can be a lifesaver. I think if you want to shore up your defense against knockdown I would look into getting the stances for Fencer. I have heard that they are way better.

Doesn't DF4 give you Last Ditch, the single highest damage multiplier for pistol specials?

If so...you may not need so many defenses

Nah, it has +50 vs. KD, same as Pistoleer. A BH probably doesn't have the option of getting Def. vs. KD from both trees, which would be +100 total, which my character has, but since I do not PvP I have no idea whether that level of KD defense is really good or not.

For PvP, the answer is easy -- Dirty Fighting all the way. That is one of the best, if not the best, combat line in the game right now. PanicShot and LowBlow are on different timers, and LastDitch is the hardest hitting pistol special in the game.

Techniques 3 with Dirty Fighting 3 is better than Dirty Fighting 4 alone...

why?

Mitigation is going into the Techniques line and the state defenses do work. Last Ditch isn't that great.

Thanks Guys. So I'm assuming with a tree like: BH 0-4-4-4 and DF 4 + Medic

This would bevery good for PvP? In conclusion, I'm assuming beingfully offensive with this tree is better than having stances 4 correct?

You can't fit in all that in 250 skill points.
