Thread: Bleeds in PvP
On a related note, in PvE does using a bleed give an XP bonus, or should I just floor the mob as fast as possible with immediate damage shots?

In your opinion, is it worth it to use bleeds in PvP? Or should I stick with the straight immediate damage shots?

I don't use a bleed in PvP if the target is unbuffed. Often (but not always) I can kill him before he has a chance to heal if he's unbuffed. If the enemy is buffed, or is a good PvPer and thus uses well experimented Stim Bs to heal constantly, then you're screwed as a Pistoleer. Your best chance is to stack the bleeds, keep firing, and hope that you can damage him faster than he can heal or get his mind to zero from all the healing.
In PvE, the bleed doesn't affect XP at all. So if you want to level, say, unarmed you can just stack both pistol bleeds, switch to VKs, and punch the target once. Even if the bleeds do all the work you still get full unarmed xp from the kill. If you're just levelling Pistoleer, I'd use the bleeds at the beginning of every PvE encounter unless you'll be able to quickly kill the creature in under 10 seconds anyway.
Good advice.
I am going up Unarmed now, so I can stack the Dirty Fighting Speicals with Master Gunfighter, and setup a macro that does this.
/ui action toolbarSlot00 - This selects my pistol and equips it (move your pistol to the F1 button)
/healthshot2
/healthshot1
/ui action toolbarSlot01- This equips my Vibro Knuckles
/unarmedlunge - Do this while running and you can hit from about 20m away
/unarmedhit
/unarmedhit
/unarmedstun
/unarmedhit
Rinse and repeat the Unarmed Specials.
In about 2-3 hours of gameplay I leveled from Novice Brawler to UA III and 7k into UA IV.
