Thread: Pistol Weapons run down Please

I just started up the pistoleer tree andI have noticed several diffrent pistoles. dx2, fwg5, tangle, and striker pistols all have diffrent damage types. I am sure someone out there can give me some idea as to which pistols are good for what situations and maybe some bases stats on each one. Thaks for the help

Ah to be new again.

I recomend having one of each damage type.

The game changes every month, so keep your eye on the guns. Currently there are a ton of guns that do energy damage. Recently the Republic Blaster was made useable, and it is far better than any other energy based weapon. So basically, as the game stands, ignore all other energy based weapons.

Energy: Republic blaster, AP1, no negs at close and 65 meters, about 200 max damage, no slices or loot components

Acid: DX2, Bonus when shooting up close, AP1, about 170 md

Kinetic: Striker, crap but its kinetic. Great for Nightsisters that have 1005 to everything else but kinetic (if you dont happen to be a brawler), about 120 md.

Stun: Tangle, crap again, and even less useful than the striker as most things that have a stun hole, have another hole of either energy or acid. POssibly useful when something is wearing crappy composite, although a high damage weapon that is resisted still will do more damage than this. About 110 md.

Heat: FWG, post patch about 170 md.
