Thread: FWG5's at 265 max, can other pistols get boosted?

Last time I was pistoleer standard FWG5s seemed to be topped at around 200 max damage after the nerf. Now im seeing ones, and common that are 265 max that have something extra in the name that leads me to believe its some new component or something, I dont know but what I want to know is, is it possible to get any of the other pistols with this upgrad or is it a FWG5 only thing.

th fwg5 on my server made post-nerf are around 170 max damage, so 265 sounds like a normal pre-nerf with a crappy damage slice.

Im not sure if it is or not but at first I thought it was just someone giving em funny names and I already had an FWG5 so I dint look at it. Then I saw one called the same on someone elses vendor so I took a look at it. Im looged in now so I'll give exact stats as shown.

Attack Speed: 2.5
Damage:heat 87-265 25.1%wound
+0 at 0m
+37 at 20m
-70 at 64m
HAM 11/36/17
If this is prepatch stuff I think I want to go buy em out while I can. Ones like this were 80k, and others for 50k that have 255 max and 2,4 speed. Let me know.

no thats made with spider fangs from the geonosian cave. Not too special considering those are probably sliced.

OK cool, but back to my original question, can spider fangs be used on any other pistol?

Spider fangs are one type of many different kinds of high velocity feeder mechanism enhancements. Nyms drop standard hvfms and the gorax drops a gorax shard that is equivalent to krayt tissue but can only be used on weapons like the fwg5, striker pistol, tangle pistol. Spider fangs are better than a nym hvfm and not as good as a gorax shard. It will make weapons slightly better than average but still wont reach prenerf fwg5 stats.

If you do get gorax bones, you can achieve pre-nerfness lvls.
