I recently got a prenerf FWG5 and had a somewhat ok damage slice. It does 257 max dam and is 1.8 spd with really low ham costs, I was hoping to get more around the 270 dmg area but I cant really complain much.... Still is this gun still decent beings it is AP0?

Yes, everything except for that speed ... in your case a DX2 or Rep Blaster would be better. Usually FWG5's are know for their speed, accuracy and high DPS. I have a Krayt FWG5 71-306 1.5 speed with 31% wound.

heh well this pistol is still way faster than anything I have

If this is a Krayt FWG5 then you got duped. The max damage should start at 250 or 260 before powerup, for a krayt FWG. FWG's have no AP, and a lot of mobs are resistant to heat. It's also pretty worthless in PvP considering how 99% of PvP'ers wear 70-80% comp, full suit. You might as well be using a scout blaster.
