AP1 would have been nice, wouldhavebeen something to be scared in PVPof then..... Otherwise OK.
Still think that some of the other professions got nicer toys...
AP1 wouldn't do anything really, as almost everything is vulnerable to stun (right?) Vulnerabilities treat both armor as AR0 and the weapon as AP0. So it really wouldn't matter if it was AP3 because it'd get treated like AP0 against the vulnerability.
What are you talkign about ap1 would do tons better.. think about it most they could prolly have with a stun layer suit is like 35-40ish % aginst stun... GL and HF with a AP0 gun even aginst 35-40%.. a 100 dmg shot would do 30dmg.. /clap...
it'd be ok if the devs pulled their heads out of their ass and realize its dumb to have 3 powerhandlers on a Laser carbine/rifle and 4 on a small glue gunn... i mean DX2.. give us the geosonic with ap1 and we'll be happy..
My point was that IF the armor doesn't have a stun layer (or the creature has stun vulnerability) then any AP on the pistol would be worthless. AFAIK, most current composite suits don't have stun layers so they can have other high efficiencies/resists. Yes the AP1 would do 25% more damage against something that has stun special protection (for other player's that is only if they have composite with a stun layer applied.)
Then again, if the pistol did have AP1 AND Stun damage, anyone with Tech II would be using it and the other pistols would see no use. So you have choices, use the AP1 energy or AP1 acid or use the AP0 stun or AP0 heat.
If the gun goes over 300 in damage then I will expect another inflation of people going BH just for eye shot. ![]()
Then it will go back like the old days where BHs constantly picked on the Pistoleers and vice versa.
