Thread: Am I cap'ed?

I've done some calculation on the excellent damage calc and found out that I needed 94 in speed to cap with my current gun. I have tapes and AA's raising my initial speed to 82. I've heard that a bug makes the FS Melee speed (learned all 4 boxes) count as ranged weapon speed. That means +12 more and I have got 94 and cap in pistol speed. Am I right or wrong?

the max pistol speed mod is i believe 125 tho if u do master pistols+0040 bh you get a 129 mod (no tapes) not sure if anything above 125 means faster tho

the max speed mod cap is 100
most pistols cap at 88

I got the Ranged Speed FS line as a free unlock, never noticed any improvement, so I got a couple of boxes of Melee Speed and that seemed to work, +6 for two boxes, would get more but out of skillpoints.
If you need a boost to pistol speed, have a look on the Bazaar for the Pistol Speed +10 stims, the sell for under 1k in most cases and you can stick a load in a toolbar and have a macro to call them, they last for 5 minutes and have 5 charges a pack.
Pistol Accuracy ones are also available.

About FS Melee Speed, I'm not an expert, but the reports I've heard seem to indicate that FS Speed mods work differently than profession Speed mods. +12 FS Melee does not mean the same thing as Pistol Speed +12. From what I understand, FS Melee (which apparently increases Ranged Speed as well) increases your speed by +12% (of the actual speed you fire at), whichwould bedifferent than adding +12 to your Pistol Speed mod.
For example, if you have +82 Pistol Speed, adding +12 would boost you up to +94, which would cause you to fire every special once per second.
But if you have +82 Pistol Speed, and +12 FS Speed, you would fire (let's say Stopping Shot, which you would fire at once every 2.7 seconds) every 2.376 seconds, because FS Speed +12 makes you fire 12% faster than without it.
This is my understanding of how FS [Melee] Speed works. Can anyone confirm or deny?

when will they fix the general ranged aiming skill mod? i have an aa for that which is 9

I think general ranged aiming works as intended. It effects the /aim command which not to many people use. So it could appear broken.

That 12% increase in speed seems to be right. StoppingShottends to make more damage than FanShot now, but seems to be a bit slower than 1 sec. Anyway tx a lot for all comments!

In my case I cap at 94 (Including BH specials which I don't have) with values 3.8 speed /420 max dmg. (Don't remember min dmg). But, no one have answered me yet if FS Melee speed is giving me a +12. I've heard this is the case for riflemen and guess it's the same for us gunners?
