which would you choose?
I'm a BE/CH/Novice Pistoleer with only enough points for one line. Which would be the wisest choice?

I would go for techniques. Your creature will hold most of the aggro, so you don't need the defensive mods as much, but the speed bonuses in the last line are invaluable too...tough choice..but I would still go for Fanshot because its already decently fast.

I say marksmanship. What's the point of having tech if you can't hit the target. Either that or grips just because of dodge. But then again techniques is good for the defenses. It's all up to you and how you intend on using these skills.
It really doesn't matter much since there won't be skill stacking comming publish 7.

It is a cross class dodge cap thats it...also...are you wanting a pvp or pve choice ??? If you wanted pvp drop ch like the plauge and pick up a usefule prof like cm...on my server ive seen poisons do 1008 a tic and that is on mind.

Yes, PvE
... I am leaning towards marksmanship for the BS3 since I have been so accustomed to doing HS3 + BS2 for so long. Wasn't sure if that was the best choice though.

BS3 is worse than BS2 unless you have master pistoleer :/

I am just about to get master pistoleer (4443 20k to go)
And I can honestly say, marksmanship hasnt made the slightest bit of difference. I just got L4 last night, and I see practically no difference in hit/miss ratio with it than without it.
By far techniques would be the best line to go for (its the line I went down first)

The master title of each tree, going horizontally that would have to be the best tree
