It all depends on what you're fighting. You will at least need a good FWG5, Republic Blaster and DX2. One of the (few) good things about this profession is that you can use a variety of damage types. Which is a very good thing because pistoleers don't do enough damage to try to blast through resistances. You may also want to look for a good Striker pistol for kinetic damage and a tangle (or a genosian if you're really lucky) for stun. Those guns are a bit more rare though and not quite as important as the first three. Just make sure to examine the MOBs and pick which gun looks like it will do the best.
