Thread: What is the best Pistoleer template to handle NS and the Geo cave?

Note I have 6 trees of FS taken up, but I'm not goign the Jedi route. Lookingto create a PvE looter... Also interested in taking on Krayts as well...

well then I would have to say go with swordsman pistolleer. Swordsman are the best pve looter for sure if1 of your fs branches are melee speed. If not im gonna have to say tkm master pistol and some medic. But with some speed and a nice hammer 2 hand is the highest dps pve profession

Forget Krayts with a pistol. The 'all pro pistoleer' template is worth a shot since you get access to all the pistols but you really need to try it out.

You want to solo Krayts and the geos? well im a Master pistoleer/desperado and i get owned in Geos by everything but mercenaries.
So if you wanna do these things, dont go for pistoleer. Also you wont be much good against NS. The spell weavers have 100% resist to EVERYTHING we shoot, except for our kinetic gun (forgot what its called)
Seriously, go for rifleman or a melee prof, you will be a lot handier Pve.

Owned in geo? I can take everything in geo solo except for acklay, kwi and force klickniks. The latter two just take too much time to be worthwhile but I can kill them. You just need a good DX2 or Scatter. Granted, this is nothing like a Swordamn who can lay utter waste to geo quite easily.

Is that just using your Marksman skills though? I have killed force Kliks and Kwis, it took me AGES and my best move then was Intimidation, if i had not had novice brawler i would have died fo sho.
And what about droidekas, they totally run a mock of me unless i use my best foods guns and armor. Im not saying Geos own me, im just saying its a lot of bloody effort when i can go a different template and walk through it with ease, not have to have a master swordsman escort me to get to the bottom inside of an hour.

Yes, currently I only have pistoleer, but admittedly +92 pistol speed anyway from attachments. Kwi's I generally just lead away since they take so long. Droidekas aren't bad, DX2 and spamming Healthshot2 will take them down reasonably quick. I agree though that it's a ton more effort than MSwords.

Odd I can solo anything with my templet. Might take 1-3 hours, but I can do it. And before the BH requirment change I was master pistoleer/desperado and could solo almost everything in Geo NP.

I have the same template and using FD and stacked bleeds/burns there is nothing in this game that I cant solo.

The problem with Pistoleer and places like the Geo cave is that pistoleer bye itself does not give any weapons that are medium armor piercing. That doesn't mean you can't take on those opponents, they just take too long to kill. So, if you want to do those locations, I'd recommend supplementing pistoleer with something that gives you medium armor piercing.

Uh, not pistoleer. Go rifleman/swordsman/brawler if ya want to handle NS/Geo's
