hi i like useing pistols 
but cant decide which to master...which is better in pve and pvp ?

OR you can take the pistol line out of Smuggler to complement your Pistoleer.
but really, all other things equal, a Master Pistoleer will defeat a Master Smuggler in a pistol fight EVERY TIME. More speed, more defenses, more guns, more specials.

You really want a combo here.
If you can hit speed cap, smuggler will destroy pistols in terms of single target dps (low blow + last ditch is great). If you only want one profession however, pistoleer is the better choice as smuggler gets no speed bonuses.
If it is pistols you crave and not just a single profession try my template.
Master Smuggler/Pistoleer 0-0-4-2/BH Pistols 4
This hits the speed cap, gives you good accuracy and all the solid pistol specials.
Obviously you can drop master smuggler to 0-0-4-0 to pick up medic or master pistols etc. This template is fun and solid at midlevel pve.
If you want high end pve or pvp, I hate to say it but, make a melee prof.

the average PvPer will destroy your armor completely and black-bar you comletely for using Feign Death in PvP. if you had a vehicle out, they will destroy that as well. believe me i have seen it happen time and time again.
check out the "beating feign death" post in the Rifleman forum.
i (as was the original poster) was talking about Pure Smuggler vs Pure Pistoleer. Smuggler does not get ANY of the bonuses to using Pistol, not speed, not accuracy, not accuracy while moving, not the defences...none of it.
thusly my original statement, all things being equal.
HOWEVER, you are correct, if you do not mind having your armor comletely destroyed, and your character completely black-barred and having either to log out or go AFK until the angry PvPer goes away, then YES you can FD in PvP, but i would hardly call that a win.

smuggler has better specials than pistoleer but with out pistoleer a smuggler couldnt hit the broad side of a torton
