Thread: dodge cap limit ?

im currently mpistoleer,bh 3-x-4-x
and grindin some fencer skills.

thats why im wondering
read somewhere that dodge caps at +125
can anyone confirm this ?

nice hehe your template #1 is my exact template.


id go with fencer 0040 instead of 0400 because of the melee mitigation 2 you'd get.


better yet, if you dont need to hunt jedi go 0430 fencer for teh win. im considering switching to that myself


and yes dodge caps at 125 but the fencer trees are worth it even if they didnt give you dodge

i'm wondering..how well does BH +4xxx pistols work?thats 80 dodge..is that even worth using ?

i think mitigation works like this...jedi has a lightsaber (melee weapon)with 200-400 damage..the difference between min and max (that is what mitigation is about) is 200 damage...if you have melee-mitigation 1 you can "mitigate" 20% of 200=40 damage..that means you take 40 damage less..if you have mitigation 2 it is 40% which is 80 damage..if you have melee mitigation 3 it's 60% which is 120 damage


if a jedi does a special on you for say 2000 damage...,then the pvp reduction takes away 1500(75%) which leaves 500 full damage..but since you got mitigation 2 it eats off 40% of that(this is where i could be wrong)


500 which lowers the damage to 300


i don't know if it takes off 120(5 x 720)before the special is calculated or after the special is performed(500-120)


someone correct me pelase,i'm confused

mitigation lowers the max amount of damage you can take in each hit....or something like that. it lowers melee damage in a way. so you can partially make up for a lack of melee defense with melee mit 2 which is very easy to get if you are taking fencer stuff.

Im not sure how well dodge works at 80, but its really nice at 125. im sure 80 will help, even if not a ton.


another good defense is the pistol 0040 line. it has ranged mitigation 2 if you dont have invest 3 as a bh. it also has +40/+50 to several state defenses. and it gives you fan shot which is a cone attack at x5. very good for pve, and easy to use as long as you can move.


but then you think, why not get both lines? but then you may as well get the speed and accuracy lines and master it hehe


any pistoleer line you take will help you as a BH....its just a matter of how many skill points can you afford to spend. oh anda master pistoller has 105 dodge if you really want to dodge =)


and you can get more defense and super dodge with some fencer skills, as the original post describes. unless your a mbh =)

nice but i was thinking of some teras kasi skills,smuggler pistol line pistoleer 0040 and bh 3040


it's either pistol 4xxx or teras kasi xxx<4>which also offers very nice mods..tough decision

yep lots of choices. at least they are all good options so no matter what you choose you will be fine

you should still have more skill points to use


why not drop the melee/ranged defense line in fencer and take the pistol accuracy line in pistoleer. then drop down to fencer 0430 and just master pistoleer altogether


bh 0040, pistol master, fencer 0430 ..... almost the same as your but with tons more accuracy. just missing a little bit of ranged/melee defense but you'll have ranged and melee mitigation, and you'll have mega didge so should be all set anyways

im master pistol 0040 BH medic 0130 I want the melee mit and some more defenses not to mention haveing some sort of dizzy hit and PD move in fencer would help


but im afraid to drop medic pls convince me

Also whats more helpfull you guys mention 0340 fencer I like haveing alot of melee defense and 3040 would be nice plus you get scatter shot please gimmie some more info

you have the 3rd highest accuracy in the game (behindTKMasta and MBH/M-Pistoleer). You dont want to have to switch weapon types, so you wont use scatter hit from fencer.


and the fencer 4000 line is good, butmainly for pve. in pvp, many people believe state defenses to be more helpful than ranged or melee defense


and the reason i say to drop medic....


lets say you go up against someone who you can kill....you wont need medic.


lets say you go up against someone who can kill you....well having minor medic abilities wont let you outheal the damage they are doing to you. their damage will be high in this case, otherwise you would have outdamaged them and killed them without needing to heal (as in the first example)


and as far as wound healing, most docs can heal 100-200-300 wounds with 1 use, so every so often get a round of healing and youll be fine


at least thats how i do it...
