medicif good forlow defenses + pve. If you're going to pvp, you'll want to go with fencer or tka trees for defense. Works better than medic in most situations. If you HAVE to use medic in pvp, then you probably won't last long in most fights anyway.

btw... the advantage of getting BH, should you choose to get it, is the speed and accuracy mods. Eyeshot is just a special that attacks the mind. If the person you're attacking has a high mind buff, it makes it no different that attacking any other pool except for the fact that its not healable. The speed and accuracy allow you to hit more often at faster speeds. That's the real benefit.

Hi, I have been working on my pistoleer template for over a month now and I still keep coming to the same problem.. MEDIC


My original was 2040 Medic, Novice Commando, Master Pistoleer, 0040 Smuggler, I would use +Melee Speed from FS skills to enhance my pistol speed, I see everyone being a desperado and I wonder If I should drop medic for that..


It's either Medic or Desperado with +50 accuracy and speed and Mind targeting attacks,


The Eyeshot isn't really that important to me since I mainly concentrate on PvE, but if an Overt Imperial walks up, I might have to defend myself, so I was thinking that 1.0 speed Last Ditch would kill just as fast as Eyeshot, because they would spend the whole time healing their health/action bars, if they could..


Please leave thoughtful feedback, I am very frusterated

Pharm 4 for stim e's works perfectly, and last ditch at speed capp is very effective with a nice geo. Yes it isnt as nice as eyeshot, but it seems to hit mind and health more often then action. Only sad thing is when you opponent heals over the damage you did


I'd always sacrifice skills to get pharm 4, or at least pharm 3 with a +25 to injury treatment piece of clothing

Really depends on your style of play...I prefer to be in a more defensive role, so I would take the medic...and 2040 is certainly alot of medical power you can heal your self pretty quick.

Others like to take on a more offensive role getting the BH pistol line giving you more specials and faster weapons certainly makes you much more powerful on the attack.

Which is best? There really is no best for all purposes. Just try to think of how you play and go with what feels best.

I choose to go master pistol 0440 BH 0400 carbine and 0230 medic. I like it alot with the Dots and fire kd in carbine it is a great ranged combo

I beleive that it is essential to have at least novice medic to pvp effectivly. Unless you have a cm dedicated to healing at all times I cannot see how you can go with out it. With pharm 4 you can elimate pretty much any profession that cannot target mind cause you can heal right over the damage they do. Many times you'll get caught into a situations that you are not buffed and need to heal over the ham cost from using specials.


Why do you think jedi are so good? Granted they can also heal mind but there healing is what keeps them alive in battle. Do you see any jedi with out any healer? I dont think so. Try pvping for a month with medic, then a month with out it. Then you will see how much you need it

You lose 15SP's on medic... that's enough for 54 ranged defense and melee defense with fencer 4000. Try healing yourself with 2-3 people shooting at you at the same time, then compare it to the damage you avoid with the defense mods. There's no comparison. Was a medic for 6 months.... dropped it for triple master... havent missed it since. Just made a pvp rating of 1750 last night

Your just telling yourself that, if you switched right now you would never go back. I told gehn the same thing months ago when he was pvping against me and still had the full tripple master. I beat him everytime and i would beat anyone with no medic because last ditch hast a 5x modifier where most mind attacks have alot lower damage modifier. There is no good pvp template that doesnt have medic, a ranged master, and a melee master.

i think last ditch is x6


first, i disagree that you need medic for pvp. the real threat is mind, medic doesnt help there.


also, if we went head to head in pvp, im shooting agood geo at you, weather its mind shot or torso shot you arent gonna have time to heal. if you do stop to heal, i just keep hammering away


and, i disagree that you need a ranged and melee mastery. you can only use 1 weapon at a time, so why master both? i agree its good to have both melee and ranged, but thats becuase you can get both melee and ranged mitigation. if you can get mitigation and defenses from a class without mastering it, there is no reason to waste like 50 or 75 skill points on trees you arent gonna use (speed and accuracy trees).


master ranged and dabble in some melee, or master melee and dabble in some pistoleer. thats my opinion at least.


oh and i forgot which poster said it, but about being unbuffed and needing to heal....i say just dont be unbuffed...i know theres not always a doc on, but still....

Thats actually around 34 points i believe when you have to add up the one handed row in brawler. Why not get the fs rows of ranged and mellee defence and get the extra +12 to each with only using 8 points of skill points. Then get pharm 4 and get cure bleed in medic. Bleeds can be very effective if used right expecially by jedi.

Well I found out about Pharm 4 not too long ago and havent went back since. At times with a+25 to inj, wound treatment additionive healed better than my master doc alt some of the time. to say that medic is not worth the points is so alien that i couldent even think of words that describe how much it helps. Think about how much it would helpif u couldheal your mind like u do health and action. that would make all prof's that tartget that pool about 75% less effective. So why would u give all the other profs that dont target mind the same advantage as the ones that do. Its saved me more times than i can count and pharm 4 is the first thing i put in when i think about new templates
