I am a master pistoler and almost a master carbineer. My current Combat Level is 68 but I am unsure how to use my special attacks. When I solo creatures that are at my lever or a little above it I get defeated very quickly, and end up using very little action. Can someone give me soem ideas on how to use this new combat system.

A macro put out by BadgerSmaker:

Damage shot spamming macro.

Pistoleer-SpamDamage

/quickDraw

/bodyShot;

/pause 3;

/macro Pistoleer-SpamDamage

This works pretty well. You could use another attack instead of bodyshot. I think its all about alternating specials for more damage over time.

Make sure you make another macrowithjust /dump so you can stop it quickly while engaged in combat.

I've never liked to use macros in combat, so I'll give you the manual approach. The first thing you should do is set a default attack, either ranged shot or advanced quickdraw, the former if you dont have a sac pup on your gun, the latter if you do. That's simply because quickdraw will drain you incredibly quickly without very very low sac from your gun. Then, to maximize damage you have to alternate between at least two specials. From what you've described in your template that would be body shot and leg shot. Just keep clicking whenever their timers seem done, and even if you mistime it you still have quickdraw defaulted so you're fine. From my experience this is the fastest way to kill something, but others have their own techniques, after awhile you'll develop your own.

work on getting x44x (x4xx probly better to go with first as its a snare)carbineer gives you a nice snare (Imp. Crippling Shot)and Imp Charging Shot (Knockdown) to go along with you Advanced Stopping Shot (root)

get at max range fire the Charging Shot, then Body Shot, then snare, they alt between Ranged Shot and Placid Shot, if the snare runs out use your Stopping shot, then warning shot, they repeat from chargining shot again
