Thread: Gun-Fu still viable template?!?

most esteemed pistoleers.
i just returned to the game after a sabbatical, so this CU and all has largely passed me by.
I've always been intrigued by the Gun Fu template (mpistoleer, smuggler and BHpistol lines andnovice commando)and was actually getting it when i left.
Now i'm back but i'm asking myself if it'll still be up to par with what i set out to do... able to fire every pistol in the game in 1 template

Not any more, there are a lot more pistols. Have a look at the sticky guide, there are template ideas in there too, but I'm sure some of the other Pistoleers will have some ideas for you as well.

launcher pistols are almost worthless, unless you want to root/intimidate everyone ina 6m radious.

this is no such thing as a single weapon template anymore, since no weapon is restricted to only skills gained by same weapon type xp, you can be a master rifleman ans use pistols, they are no skills thats you can use with a rifleman that you cant use with pistol or carbine, or Heavy Weapon
also you cant make a template that lets you use every pistol, becuase at the most you can only master 2 elite professions, and just about every elite profession that has a pistol xp requirement has a Master Cert Pistol to go along with it,
so if all you want to use is pistols, i woudl reccomend looking at what each prof that requires pistols xp gives in return for for mastering, and picking one or two of them to master, and look at the other for skill boxes you think can boost your effectiveness
