Hi folks.

Just wondering what SAC is considered too high to use for you guys.

Im curious as i have a speed sliced featherweight with 414Dps but SAC is 92 (is it still a good weapon even with sac this high)

Have a read of the stickied guide to pistol buying, crafting and slicing.

94 SAC is way too high, and DPS means absolutely nothing when evaluating how good a gun is.

I've got a very nice gun that's damage capped and has a tier 4 speed slice.. it has a large accuracy bonus as well.. the sac is 74.. this means that i can use a 500-use SAC reduction powerup and still have a very nice positive accuracy bonus while dropping the SAC to around 54.

but yes, i would say 92 is too high.

I do not know any hi-lvl pistoleers who would willingly purchase a top-notch pistol that has an SAC above 70-75. That's about the top threshold. Frankly, many successful weaponsmiths understand that SACs are the FIRST thing to cap, when making pistols. Personal opinion: I'd buy a 300 dps pistol with 65 SAC before I would EVER buy a 400+ dps pistol with 90+ SAC.

as to all the above posts, i totaly agree thats sac is most important, then damage. I just had some spare Casings to play with and wanted to see how low i could get the speed (1.62) after a slice. and after i made it all i wanted to know is if any pistoleer would want to use a pistol with tsac this high- i have since used a similar (400+dps) pistol with 87 sac and found that its good for quickly taking down npcs with <10K HAM, any higher and my action is out- so they do have some use

Ack post on buying, crafting a pistol is gone unless my forum display is borked. I LOVE that post. Anyone got a link for me to it?
