As a pistoleer I often mix my stoppingshot with a nice knockdown when the timer runs out. I noticed that it is impossible to have 2 knockdowns on a row. For example : I won't be able to knockdown my apponent if I just did a knockdown or if my friend just did a knockdown.
I only use my ranged knockdown for this, not sure if firearm strike uses another timer. ANyways my question is, can anyone tell me how long I have to wait till I can successfully knockdown my opponent again? Is this random and is there a difference in PVP and PVE here?

i believe it's either 20 or 30 seconds... leaning on the 20 but combat is a little fast pasted for me to be sure
it's an imunity timer sorta like rage just no stat is added saying they are imune

It's the red line on the ground, it doesn't show up as a state. I used to think it was part of an attack animation...

The little heartbeat monitor that starts flickering on the target after a KD is how long the KD immunity lasts, once it has gone you can KD again.

Its 30 secs for me - MC/MP/MM
I use the macro in the faq with a time of 30 secs. When working as a pair if you get the first macro off the other player will never get KD on the target if you time it right.
"Oh my KD is broken"
"Pay me 2 bantha skins and ill give you a cure for that"

The wavey line seems to show for how long the 20% damage multiplier is effective and has nothing to do with when you can KD again.

I tried watching that hardbeat meter, I tried this on an outcast on Kashyyyk. As soon as his heartbeat sign dissapeared I tried a knockdown again. But it failed. So I guess It's 30 seconds.
Reason why I have to know this is because I'm probably gonna use it in a macro that way I will have a duelist stance and knockdown macro which will make things easier in PVP
