1.0 is the fastest any weapon can fire and will remain htat way because the servers can't handle anything faster. The only way for the Devs to make us the fastest gun as we should be, is to nerf the speed on all rifles and carbines (not gonna happen) So, no, pistoleer speed will not be increased. If the Devs keep up their pattern of nerfs and no fixes, pretty soon, we will be getting owned by Marskmen.

FYI, I think Elander's question is in responce to a comment made by a dev about 3-4weeks ago, that they are looking into changing the 1.0s to 0.5s for pistoleers and fencers. As far as I know they are still looking into it.

it's probably a load of BS but i have read a couple of posts by some well known pc's on my server that stated the speed cap has already been lowered to 0.5.

They said on some post that they couldn't lower it down to .5, something about having to reprogram or something like that and they didn't want to go through with the hassel. The only other thing left would be raising the delay hardcap for the other professions...and honestly, let's admit the truth, the other professions aren't pistoleer's, so they won't do it cause we all know that the dev's want to screw us over, and that's it. Pistoleer's have a big sign over our heads saying please nerf us to the stone age cause we're to stupid to change professions. Shamefully...yes...I to am a stupid pistoleer waiting for the cry to war from Jaegen88 saying, On so and so date, surrender all of your pistoleer points, the pistoleer profession will die on this day until they fix us!

Honestly, I don't know Jaegen, I know he's been fighting for us with all of his heart. But he's been silent lately which has me thinking that the E-mail conversations he is having with the dev in charge of pistoleer didn't go so well. I fear he might have left us out of frustration because the dev himself refuses to do anything positive for our profession.

Even if they do make the pistol speed cap .5 seconds, what difference is it really going ot make to most Pistoleers? Unless you're also dabbling in the BH Pistol line, you're never going to reach the 100 Pistol Speed mod necessary to give you ability to fire that fast. As it is right now, a Master Pistoleer without any BH skills can only fire Stopping Shot or Body Shot 3 once per second if he's using a very high speed weapon. As far as I'm concerned, lowering Pistol speed is a moot point. All it will do is offer even more advantage to dabblers, while putting those of us who have actually mastered Pistoleer at an even greater disadvantage. So unless Master Pistoleers get additional Pistol Speed mods to make it worth our while, then I think lowering pistol speed is actually a bad idea.
