Thread: Question about armour piercing damage.

Greetings all was wondering something about armour piercing.
As we know if a gun doesnt have AP1 but the mob has light armour the damage done on the mob is reduced. if a gun has AP1 and the mob has light armour the dmg is not reduced at all. but what if a mob doesnt have armour but the gun does have AP1? is the damage increased?
Anyone know?
According the the writeup on the website, the AP1 weapon should get a 25% bonus.
But it doesn't .
tested this last night extensivly. at first i was reading all the values that went through the combat window and seeing no improvement over a dl44 or scout with the same base dmg. however when i was scrolled out looking at the surrounding landscape i noticed something great.
the damage over the head of the mobs wasnt matching the combat window damage. it was more! Enthusiastically i started scralling values down and did some math and had my answer.
The sr combat pistol was getting on average 23% to 28% bonus's on each shot. Mostly it was a 25% bonus but sometimes a lil more or less.
So it seems it does in fact work even if its not reporting properly in the combat window.!
