Thread: Combat window bug?
Sorry for bringing this to you guys, but the pistoleer board is the best I know of (I get more information on how combat works here than through the game).
My problem:
I noticed just in the past week that my combat window shows one number of damage (e.g. 1220), and the damage number floating above the creatures head will show half of that (e.g. 610). Sometimes the damage on the number floating above the mobs head will be a quarter of what the combat window says.
This has been working on all armor class 0 mobs. I've tested it on everything from butterflies to gubbers to regular carrion spats to durnis.
I tested my FWG5 and my Scout. My DX did this as well, but on the butterflies it seemed to work as if the armor piercing ability was working correctly.
This has only started happening since the new Fan Shot has been introduced.
Occassionally it does read as the same number between the combat window and the floaty.
I thought that it used to be the opposite: the combat window showed the base damage and the floaty showed the true damage.
The reason I brought this up here is that I bugged it the first time I saw but my ticket is "still not read" by the support team. I noticed a commando posted a problem he had with flame cone 2 and the CSR locked the thread and told him to take it to the profession board (lol?).
