My Sith holocron has me headed towards Master Pistoleer, so I'm wondering if any of you can recommend how I should migrate my stats as a human and if I should wear my set of composite armor or not. Thanks

There are too many things that you aren't telling us. Do you heal a lot? Buff?

If you're a Master Doctor, I'd set your main stats to be something like 600-600-1100. It all depends on what your skills are overall.

Composite is nice for PvP and faction missions. However, I usually wear Advanced Chitin in creature hunting PvP.

I'm thinking of moving to Ubese for faction missions.

Anyway, no matter how you stat migrate, try to make sure you can wear a decent suit of armor. If you are also doing medic/doctor then you have alot more leeway here.

Your #1 goal if you have any medic at all is to max out willpower. Faster blue bar regen means less downtime period that way.

Ok, let me be a little more specific. I'm currently an Expert BH but will have to give up some of those skills in order to master Pistoleer. So to answer your question, my template is most likely going to be as follows:

Master Pistoleer, BH 0-0-4-0, Novice CH

Okay, you're heading for a template that is similar to mine.

My first suggestion to you is to make sure that you have someone with at least Novice Medic (and good Stim Bs) with you at all time, or keep medical skills until the very last moment. I didn't give up Novice Medic, personally, until I had enough XP to Master Pistoleer.

Secondly, you might NOT want to wear armor, as long as you're fighting melee-only PvE (which is most PvE). The goal when you're levelling up is to minimize downtime and maximize XP per minute, so what you want to do is use a pet or WarningShot to keep the mob at bay and then use no armor + use a powerup that reduces HAM costs on your Scatter.

What should your stats be? That still depends. If you want to PvP, you need to have a mind bar that is at least as long as your other two bars. Preferably three bars at equal length. For a Human I tend to think that having 900 to 1000 in each main stat and 400 in all secondaries except for willpower is best, if you care about PvP.

If you're PvE only, you have a different set of considerations. Are you going to be buffed most of the time? If you're getting Doctor buffs but not Dancer/Musician buffs (which describes my situation often) you want to maximize Mind and Willpower at the expense of other stats. Otherwise mind is the least important, since random HAM attacks from mobs will rarely hit mind. If you don't have medic skills, I'd recommend a shorter mind bar ... although I'd recommend keeping at least Novice Medic, because heals are extremely powerful in PvE.

I hope this is at least a little bit helpful. There is no single set "best" set of stats for a Pistoleer. It depends on what you want to do and your style of play.
