Thread: sooooo disapointed in new pistols certs

some in Smuggler, some in Squad leader... 1 new pistol is all pistoleer got... 1!!!! how the hell can this be? we are pistoleers... why do we loose out on all the new sweet pistols? (omg Intimidator pistol looks amazing.. to bad its MSL certed)

The last two new pistols, the Geo and the DE-10 were for pistoleers. Stop whining.

actually this is WAY wrong...
where is our Pistoleer correspondent?
No way we can grind SL with the pistoleer template so why cant we have that pistol?
THIS IS WRONG!
a pistoleer should be able to have access to EVERY pistol in the game even if it means branching professions.
I can see it now: master pistoleer comes into town and cries at the sight of Melee/SL with the Intimidator (?)

DE-10 and Geo Blaster aren't technically new, not new as in coming with the CU.
Of the CU pistols, the certs, so far, that I've seen are:
2 in Smuggler, one of which is in the Master box
1 in Master Combat Medic(WTH?! The Alliance Disruptor)
1 in Master Squad Leader
I didn't notice any of the new ones in Pistoleer, and no mention of the DE-10 in any of the skill boxes.

How come the pistols for CM and squad leader look so cool?
Come this is a poor show guys, for people who know me i care more about being and looking cool than being uber i want to be able to use the intimidator (lets be honest this looks cool) and the alliance disrupter (again this looks awesome). I would forgive this if we had the ability to duel weild our pistols though so far i dont see anything about this even a holster would show you are doing something for us.
I love the fact squad leader and CM are getting weapons though this is taking a lot of what i was looking forward to out of my hands unless i decide to try and get the certs which is impossible since the pistol's are at master.
Well at least im getting the 2 new guns as a smuggler but...................................

I'm changing my entire template because of this. 
I love the look of the CM pistol. I don't like the Intimidator much, personally. And the Smuggler Pistols are cool. It's only because I'm mastering smuggler that I'm willing to switch from Pistoleer to CM... :/
I hope I have enough to still get Novice BH/Commando(Scatter/Launcher) and some of Pistoleer. Sigh.

The reason all the pistols were re-certed was because all those old pistols you never used before are being completely re-done. Forget new-new pistols you have all new D18s, Power5s and FWG5s...lets concentrate testing on how well those pistols work...If I went off looks I would have used the Power5 forever, but looks arent everything

Yeah guys try not to get annoyed about it, we've had a communication problem, yet again. The pistols info was rather stupidly released without telling us who could use what, thus we had our expectations raised, while we may all naturally think pistoleer means someone who can use any old pistol, this is gameland and quite frankly a spade isn't a spade here.
I really do hope that SOE will learn from these mistakes though, changes such as this are about managing expectations as much as work on the actual game. There are so much bad feelings being whiped up on all forums that would otherwise not have happened, for want of proper lines of communication.

did you SEE the intimidator? ill go off of just looks for that baby! lol

Hee. I understand that, it's just some of these weapons look really nice.
And the Alliance Disruptor has a .2% higher wound rate than the DE-10, which has the exact same stats otherwise... >.>

Ok, Renegade and DeathHammer pistosl are certed in smuggler, Alliance Disruptor in CM, Intimidator in Squad Leader(and I was really hoping to get one of those too, oh well). Where are the certs for the Jawa Ion and Flare Pistols? I have yet to come across those myself so far.

I am furious at not getting the cert for the Alliance Disruptor and the Intimidator. The pistoleer is the only profession devoted to a weapon that does not have access to all the weapons that one would think they would have access to...All others do....
