Thread: CU DE-10 dmg increased?

The CU weapons have been stated as being the best possible stats one can achieve. Assuming +300 krayt is available post cu as a best possible enhancer, that puts the 701 max damage blue frog DE-10 at 401 base (assuming experimented on damage alone). My personal weapon shows a 263 base max damage, once you account for the krayt in it. Assuming this was not purely damage experimented, lets fudge that to a 275 max damage base. Is there some other enhancer out there I am missing, or perhaps some stronger than 300 krayt tissue? Assuming Krayt tissue is not increased post-CU, and there isnt an enhancement method I've not heard of, that represents roughly a 22% *increase* in damage output.
This could be accounted for by assuming the devs have "presliced" these stats, and 701 is infact a 35% damaged sliced maximum possible number, in which case there is an 11% decrease from current damage output max to post-cu. The examine window does not reveal the weapon as having been "modified by a smuggler", but I wouldnt put it past the devs to merely hit cap and tease us with the possibility of seeing 946 max dam DE-10s with "perfect" krayt tissue in them...
In either case, I'd like to hear what your "base" damage DE-10 would be. (For example my 402 presliced dmg was on a +139 krayted DE-10. "Base" dmg for this weapon would be 263)
I'm *expecting* a worse case scenario of a 11% decrease, but a 22% increase has me drooling...

part of me highly doubt the stats to be correct on most weapons atm

I believe it will be 1/3 from what it is now on TC. Don't know for sure but I'm sure they'll fix it, otherwise it's a deathblow for the krayted weapons market.

To be honest, I think its a possibility, but I must admit for now just a pipe dream. Unless there's a +175 max dam yellow barrel out there somewhere
. Looking at several of the other "top level" weapons for other non-damage centered professions, the 701 maximum possible max dam is a recurring theme. Take the Razor Knuckler for example. Isnt the NS motor capable of hitting the same damage modifier range as krayt tissue and gorax bone?
As it's a "rebalance", I could see the devs at the very least "standardizing" non-damage centerd prof's master weapons, even if it doesnt mean a 22% increase in our beloved revolver (well, in appearance).

I think those weapons on the frogs at the minute are top line i.e they don't come any better.

I don't think so. the min damage on the T21's are higher than the best max of any nonenhanced crafted T21 I have ever seen. Also weapon's like te T21 were supposed to get hgher damage to compenstae for there loss of ap. I think ap was primarily removed for2 reasons: 1. to reduce the calculations needed for combat. 2. eliminate the times when you could take more damage froma a high ap weapon becuase you wore armor, rather than if you went armorless.
