All I care about as a Pistoleer is the DE-10, it's too cool of a weapon and fits my character's style perfectly. (think old west meets sci-fi, a la Firefly)
So my question is will the bolt still be blue? I love the blue bolt, but with the CU updates, it looks like the DE-10 will be switched to red

The cert for it is at Master Pistoleer. It doesn't show it, like the Geo Blaster

All ranged shots are red right now, and was stated that they would be in Blairs Blog... may change at a later time though.

NOoooooooooo...all "energy" shots are red. There are kinetic guns.
Also, I've seen orange lasers in the CU, but dunno what they're for.

Unfortunatly, there's no elemental damage for the DE-10 which makes me sad. All that work to find the parts and make it, and no elemental damage, where as the other pistol cert. at master (Republic Blaster) gives acid damage, AND has a higher average DPS, even though it's min and max range is slightly lower.
Did anyone else notice this?

Hmmm I have a particularly special DE-10 - it has a chance to wound of 97% (and damage of around 300 or so un p/uped). I wonder how this will translate in the CU? Are the wound stats still the same or will they be replaced with something else.
I know it's not the most deadly of weapons (damage is average) bu the wound % makes it kind of unique. I would hate to see this stat thrown out the window.

Yep, I'm hoping the DE-10 retains at least some of its glory when compared to the new CU weapons. I waited a long time for my 2.4 speed, 410 max-dmg unpupp'd beauty.
But at the same time, I'm really looking forward to the new weapons - so either way, I don't guess my heart will be broken - as long as I have something sweet to point at people.

I actually fing the top level guns unappealing in the CU right now. While the numbers are fudged to their absolute maximums, the DE-10, DX-2, Renegade, FWG-5, Republic, and whatever others I'm missing, all share roughtly the same stats, speed and wounds being the main differences. For the looted DE-10 to be perfectly on par with a craftable weapon like the DX-2, well, lets just say I'm dissapointed that all the work that goes into finding these schems and barrels grantrs me something on par with a weapon a WS can craft easily like the DX-2. All but the FWG-5 are Energy, none have any elemental... or at least thats what I witnessed last night.

Personally, I've always liked the DE-10. Reminds me of Roland's guns in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Not sure how its gonna rate in the CURB, but I still have mine from my BH days and am waiting to use it in TC5 to see how it works compared to other weapons.
