As far as I can deduce, the following pistols may be obtained from lockboxes on the avatar after freeing the wookies.

UR-G8
Ion Stunner Pistol
Kashyyk Stalker Pistol

Saw somebody holding the Kashyyk Stalker and it looked pretty cool.

Does anyone know the stats/certs on these pistols and if they would be useful (especially if elemental damage ever gets implemented)?

If you go to the game guides section of the forums there are guides on how to get most of the pistols (see Clone War Quests to get Jango Fett's pistol). As far as I know the Ion Stunner Pistol and Kashyyyk Striker Pistol are looted on the avatar.
