Thread: I'm soooooooo confused please help out a old pistoleer
Dude, you are coming back to a whole new world. CL is combat level. You are combat level 80 if you master 2 elite combat profession. Non combat professions naturally carry a lower CL.
Most of the specials work, but some are very low damage specials that apply state effects to the target. This helps alot when hunting in groups and in PvP. Pistoleers are not so much damage types as they are crowd control. That being said, take another profession along with pistoleer (many take Bounty Hunter) to add some high damage shots to your arsenal.
And remember, you are not solely tied to pistols anymore. You can use a CL appropriate rifle or carbine with your Pistoleer special attacks now to increase your range.
But, if you are used to being a solo hunter, the only drawback is that you really have to group to level up quickly anymore. But that is fun I think!!
