From reading posts here, I know that you ideally want to get a pistol with high max damage and low special action (SAC?) cost. However, there are a coupleacronyms I've seen thrown around that I have no idea what they mean:

PUP - power up? I think I've seen these on various vendors during my shopping, but I've always just sort of glossed past them. Can I attach these? Or do I need to find a weaponsmith? Is there a good guideline on PUP shopping to follow?

ADK - I have no idea what this means, can someone explain what this is, and what the acronym stands for?

Thanks in advance.

PuP= powerup you can usually find a crate of them on vendors for really cheap.. 1k-3k... You can attach them by just dragging one (a ranged powerup) directly onto your weapon in your inventory. It will have a certain number of uses, and after it is used up you can just place another one on. There are powerups for a lot of different pistol mods, and im pretty sure they all have a slight penalty on another mod. I haven't really used any since the CU, so I wouldn't be able to help you with which to use

ADK= Anti Decay Kit... its an item you get for playing for 1 year... you can put it on any decayable item and from that point on, the item's condition will never lower..... by destroying the item, you get the ADK back.

When shopping for Power Ups, look for "reinforced stocks" with more than 25% Special Action Cost reduction.

Use a bazaar terminal, select Entire Galaxy from the top left hand corner and then drop down the Misc catergory, the Factory Crate and then Reinforced Stocks.

If you cant find them there, look under the same categories from the "Vendor Location" tab at the top of the bazaar window.

Unfortunately, that is not exactly true. There are only certain decayable items that you can put one on. For example, you can't put one on a PSG (personal shield generator, for Doogal's benefit) anymore--as I discovered to my great annoyance when I removed one from my old pre-CU PSG and tried to put it on a new one. PSGs are so borked at the moment anyway though.
