Thread: Anyone else notice an increase in missed shots since the patch?

It seems to me today that I have been missing extremely more often than before the patch. Weak newbie mobs that used to be one hit kills are now like 2-3 because I seem to be missing so often - and no that is not an exaggeration unfortunately. It's been taking me 2-3 shots to kill a gnort on average. I do still get the occasional 1 shot kill on weak mobs, but there are far more missed shots in general. And on tougher mobs? It really makes things more difficult now.

So has anyone else been experiences this increase in misses?

Yes, *but* its because of the range. It seems the range penalties/bonuses are now working properly for weapons. If I'm in the sweet spot range I almost never miss, if I'm outside the sweet spot, unless I'm in a better position(kneeling/prone/not moving) my chances of missing go up appropriately....pistol accuracy seems to give you extra leeway outside the sweet spot and moving pistol accuracy is pretty self explainatory.

Add to this the fact that the DX2 has an ideal range of 0 (Hi commando's nice place you have here) and it gets even worse

Yet again another reason to use the scout blaster whenever possible.

DX2 has an Ideal Range of 0 now? Ouch, hope that's a bug. I was using my FWG5 and Scout last night. I really didn't notice very much of a difference at most ranges. However, I wasn't able to do a lot of intense fighting either. I did a couple of NPC missions for the first time to see if they were working. They were. So, I spent more time traveling than actually fighting.

Yeah, I switch between a DX2 and Scout pistol. I was noticing the misses being more frequent on both. I mean, doing an explore mission for killing 45 womp rats and missing each rat about 2-5 times in a row until it got right up to me was a bit harsh. heheh. I was mostly using my scout on them too, as I tend to use the DX2 on things a bit larger since it does more damage per shot and only slightly slower. Guess I need to try and find a couple skill enhancement attachments that will aid in pistol accuracy to put into the socketed pants I wear. (I don't use armor, plus I have yet to see any socketed armor for sale on my server)

Yes,

But as mentioned above, range is a more noticable factor. I will also say that even though some things don't work as good there are other little things that work better so it balances.

The Warning Shot + Peace tactic worked so much better than I've seen it work before. (OMG, woops don't tell anybody cause they'll probably nerf it)
