Thread: why in the blue hell didnt we get timers instead of huuuuge ham penalties?

also this is no where near a friggin fix


anyone whos a medic can still spam pistol whip....they just need to use their stims....


at least u finally fixed the time penalty fix....which i noticed seemed to drop from 10 secs to 5.......


again, timers.....think about it.....go buy yourselves a friggin copy of daoc q and the rest of the gang


play it for a week, steal some ideas....er at least this one.....


if it works, dont be afraid to steal it.....


no one will say anything other than thanks!!! huray, i dont need to sit for 5 mins after fighting for 1, woopie

i agree 100% put a frickin timer on it not make it crazily insane ham cost that doesnt sotp people from having docs use stim packs on them and still spamming KD its sitll not fun to pvp cause with the KD you get the 50% mroe damage going so what all of 25% less damage then normal ohhyay im so thrilled not....

OMG screw this they didnt even mention it ,,,, Why in the world would we get that much HAM cost on Action Pool its Very Stupid ,, up to -93, on Ham, leave us very vunrable to anything.. I saw Give us Back Our Ham and make a TIMER,, Cant Do Body shots ,, cant do Bleeders, And I AM SICK of changing my ham bar + we have to wear all that armor ,, TIMER TIMER TIMER TIMER

I'm so glad they did this after I made master pistoleer. This one change will really slow down the rate more people make master for sure.

I'm afraid to ask for or comment on anything at this point. They take our suggestions and warp them to the point where you cannot recognize them and then say "Here is what you asked for."

/sigh

I just want to be able to play a game that I thoroughly enjoy.

What about our VS knockdown ? have they done anything about that

Use delay timers would probably have been a better idea than this mega-HAM costs they implemented.

Timer delay wasn't 10s in DAOC, it was a minute. And while it solved stungard, it caused it's own set of issues. Namely, some classes that relied on CC were nerfed to heck and back. Want to cast it? Too bad, someone else already made your opponents 100% immune for 60 seconds. Which was generally 40 seconds longer than a small PvP fight.


But as to SWG, the important discussion...


I haven't tried it out much, so I can't say. With PvP damage reduction, hopefully with KD resists working (soon???), and being able to just usea stim to heal off the damage...I don't know. Things might work fine in PvP, who can say yet. A 10s timer would need to become active AFTER the effects of the first KD wore off. In my tests, KD delayed me for about 15seconds per knock down. And in the old high damage PvP, 15s was 12 seconds too late With new 75% damge recuction, I have no idea where the balance is yet personally.

I'll want to get out there and try out all this new stuff in PvP, I hope it's working better at least, than before?

daoc had same issue we had wtih spamming knockdown, they added a 10 sec times, no more prob


pvp was a blast....


i know pistoleers have gotten off lights, where as tka are completely and utterly screwed....


but it causes so much down time this isnt fun anymore, i can kill one friggin mob now....and i was flippin grouped....


its not to late, come out with a new patch next friggin week with a timer damnit

Yeah i posted the timer idea on the smuggler forum like 2 days ago i was completely amazed the no one looked interested in it.



The timer idea is so much better then having that freaking huge HAM cost which can be bypassed using stim-pack...



And like i said before it makes having multiple different knockdown like lowblow and pistol whip important adn not recurant.



Well anyway the DEV on this game completely blows anyway, they are not even able to steal great idea from other games. Everyone do that on the software market : take other people idea and make them a bit better...

if they just made the timer so it prevents u from using it for 10 to 15 seconds....maybe longer


not the effects


take the idea from daoc and run with it....


as long as they fixed how the timer stacks when u connect it on a mob i dont see a bloody problem


like i said, with a doctor with stim b's in your group, or even be one yourself, u can spam it all friggin day, just takes a few extra clicks......


im hoping this ham crap is just a temp fix tell they can jump into the code enuff to add a timer, this makes no bloody sense otherwise.....
