I hate having to wear armor, I like the way my cloths look so much more...

Get composite only. Then you need to do the following:

1. Get a full suit with low 70% base and hope for slices to get you to 90% resists. Make sure it has resists to everything but stun. Special resists will not be effected by slices...you should hope for Acid and Heat resists over 80% at the very minimum. On Bloodfin, these will run about 80-120K a piece...and you may need a few of each pieces to get a slice over 80%.

2. At minimum, buy a stun resistant helm. If you can, buy a full suit. Overall resists will be less than normal composite, and hope you can get the stun resists in the mid to high 30%. 70-80% on other resists after slice are good. These cost more....the helmet is the most important to avoid BH's, Fencers, and Riflemen.

3. Get some PSG's with resists to stun. The are bugged so that everytime you cross a server boundary they stop working, so reequip them often.

If you get lucky, you can find pre nerf armor over 90%, but it will be pricey on any server.

Agreed MC, I use a stun composite helm with the rest of the suit having no stun protection but 80%+ protections in all other categories. Also use a PSG with stun protection but since those break down so quick I only use them against Rifleman and Fencers for the most part. Its a shame that Comp is the only worthwhile armor in PvP because the prices have gone through the roof the last few months. On Bloodfin a kick ass suit of comp goes from 800-1.2 mil or so.....more if its a stun set or sliced.....

I think it would be cool if they made it so armor affected defenses, so that if you're wearing it dodge, counterattack, block etc are much less effective...maybe even state defenses.. That would give good reason to decide between wearing armor or no armor: Either take less hits, or take more hits but be able to absorb more damage

Composite like everyone else said heh .. Maybe try to get a nice set of stun protection composite tho, you can usually find 28~34% stun resistant armor easily, and it really helps in pvp when going against the swarming stun users ..

If you are serious about pvp, like the others stated stun composite is THE only way to go........ this game reminds me of lemmings because it has absolutely no variety.

Yes, there should be more penalty to wear highly armored suit. Like walking slower, firing slower ...

Current encumbrance system is broken because of all the buff and the composite armor ("one armor to rule them all").

I would have prefered armors which have one high resist and low on the rest (like ubese).

/agree with everything he says . however if you do not have novice medic then i would strongly recommend getting an entire suit with a light stun layer , even a 4% stun layer cuts the damage from a geo blaster or a stun baton into half . either way as mentioned above you want to get atleast a 30% stun layer on your helmet .
