Hm...good question. Off the top of my head, I can't tell you what level you need to be, but being a Master Weaponsmith and Pistoleer, I CAN tell you that you're not missing too much by not being able to use this gun. Not much different than the regular FWG5 in my opinion.

Ok I've been searching through the forums, I've seen in game how it says I'm not certified for it (even though I'm certified for a FWG5), I've been through the whole pistoleer tree and haven't seen the cert so I'm wondering.

What's the deal with this gun?

im master pistoleer. when i examine the feather and the geo it says i am not certified for either of them. but when i equip them i do not get the spam that says you are not qualified to use this weapon, damage my be reduced blah blah blah

they work for me and damage seems to be as it should be even though it says im not certified. i think it is a bug similar to many bugs (just like examining flamecone2 in ctrl a. it says the string is /flamecone1 but yet combat spam says you use massive amounts of fire etc and do more damage than cone 1)

i am smuggler, fear my cork guns
episode II: i am no longer smuggler i no longer fear the cork guns or the delay on the delay for the revamp.. leave a message after the beep when revamp comes and then i shall return. but then maybe i will show them and do a delay on my return.. ha!!! take that soe (if they have not frustrated me more then i already am)

one of the weapon smiths i purchase from said the geo is for tech 2 box. so i assume the feather is either pistol 4 or nov pistol or tech 1

heh heh heh wouldn't it be cool if the cert truly was "broken" and when they fixed it damage on the thing went through the roof.

The weapon should say on it what skill level you need to use it. The "Certified: No" is a dirty rotten lie on the new weapons. You have to look at the description at the bottom to see what you need to use it. I let the devs know about it already, so it's on the "to do" list.

bah still not home. i seem to recall i was master commando/ dirty fighting 4 and nov pistoleer and using the feather.
